In addition, the company held a press conference and added fuel to the conflict by saying, "We have enough money to hire FineTec workers at Starplex, but we don't." Kang Min-pyo, CEO of FineTec, said at a news conference that the union's demand for direct employment of its parent company and the inauguration of CEO Kim Se-kwon could be completely impossible.

The labor union also claimed that the fact that Star Chemicals had to go through liquidation procedures in the past was largely due to the labor union. Kang reiterated throughout the press conference that labor unions could negatively affect the company`s competitiveness. The union also blamed the union for the collapse of the negotiations, saying the union demanded bonuses that the new company cannot pay.

It will not be easy to resolve the conflict between labor and management in the future.
