Some 22,000 police officers were deployed to make a human belt, and 25 police buses were installed in Gwanghwamun Square during the day.

A police source said, "Since the current government is in the position of guaranteeing the freedom of the demonstration as much as possible, we wanted to avoid the installation of the car walls. According to those involved in the security plan, it was also said that it was too much to include the Gwanghwamun Square in Trump's election, where the protesters were likely to gather. If they move towards Anguk Station or Sajik Tunnel in Seoul, they might have been able to go from Cheong Wa Dae to lodging without encountering protesters. On the other hand, a source from the security department said, "The previous government also preferred the Gwanghwamun Square course when visiting Korea for foreign nationals."

A Cheong Wa Dae official said, "The 안전놀이터 Dongseon was not related to the "Fire Revolution" at the time, but the course was selected due to security issues."
